The Challenge: Convince a group of superfans to learn a new language on duolingo.

There’s few groups as passionate as baseball fans. With a huge uptick in international talent, fans can scout future stars while learning these players’ native languages.

You Could Find the Next Ohtani.

Partnering with MLB and broadcast networks around the globe to watch international players, fans fill out scouting reports and choose who they think will be the next star. Fans then learn the native language of their chosen player in the same duolingo format (with baseball terms, of course). Complete lessons and challenges for the chance to earn merch. The luckiest fan even gets flown out to see their favorite player in person.

(But the Marketing Team Forgot to Tell the Boss)

LAUNCH: Duo (you know, the bird that uses scare tactics so you do your lessons) has been named CSO, Chief Scouting Officer. But duo knows absolutely nothing about the game. What’s the worst thing that could happen?

Meanwhile…Calling Out All 30 Clubs.

Duo normally would have done this part, but he’s still on a posting frenzy. As that continues, targeted social posts and on baseball reference pages, ads call out fans of specifc teams.
